Will Patching, Author
Will Patching was born and raised in ‘Sarf Lunnon’, Engerland, or at least, that’s how he pronounces it (South London to the uninitiated)! Will has recently released 'Gaslighting', the final novel in his dark and compelling 'Remorseless' crime thriller trilogy.
Q1. Hello Will! Can You Tell Us A Bit About Yourself And Your Books? I’m a semi-retired Brit who opted out of the corporate rat race in 1998, and since then I have lived abroad, travelled, had several businesses, and of course, now I write crime thrillers...’ |

Chatting with Will Patching #crimewriter - Paul Anthony, Thriller Author
Q. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
A. I’m a refugee from the corporate world after I gladly walked away from the rat race in my early forties when I had an opportunity to downshift and do my own thing. Although at the time I was successful as the CEO of a medium sized recruitment consultancy in London, I had never, in over two decades of commuting, actually looked forward to a day at work. One miserable weekend... Click here to read the full interview... |
Ester Lopez - Author Blogspot Interview
Ester: Thanks for taking time to speak with me, Will. First, what made you decide to become a writer?
Will: When I was at school I won an essay competition aged 14 and since then I wanted to write a novel. My first attempt was dreadful but I was only 16! I never did get beyond the first ten thousand words… Click here to read the full interview... |
'My interviews with many authors' - a blog by Fiona McVee
Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?
Will: Sparse! For me personally, too much description of characters’ appearances and their surroundings bogs things down, so I leave much of that to the reader’s imagination. I do however, focus on the psychological aspects and delve deeply into the minds of my key characters. This is particularly evident in Remorseless... Click here to read the full interview... |

Psychopaths and British Noir - Podcast and transcript. Interview by Author Alexandra Amor
"Fellow author Will Patching is fascinated by psychopaths. He has a website dedicated to just this topic. And the villain in his British noir mystery, Remorseless, is a character study in psychopathology.
